Tanzania Specialists
Tanzania Specialists website is a specialist website run by parent travel company, Tribes Travel. Having planned Tanzania safari and beach holidays for 20 years, the team at Tribes decided to put all their knowledge and best advice about this great country into one very comprehensive website. We hope you find it informative and that it gives you lots of inspiration and ideas.
Tribes Travel was founded in 1998, and is still an independent, family-run company. It is owned and run by co-founders Amanda and Guy Marks who have each worked in the travel industry for more than 30 years. They are proud to have an expert small team of consultants, writers, and even a digital wizard working with them. www.tribes.co.uk
Our Team
Tanzania specialists team includes Amanda herself, plus Tracy Edwards, Sinead Bailey and Christine MacDougall. All know Tanzania extremely well and have travelled extensively here (and continue to do so), and Chris was born and bred in the country, so you have a large pool of knowledge to pull from when talking with us. If one of us hasn’t seen the place you want to go, chances are that another in our team has been there.

Tracy was been born and spent her youth in South Africa, the draw of the animals, the people and wilds of Africa have always run through her veins.
Sinead Bailey
Travel Consultant
Sinead caught the travel bug following a year out after university. She has worked in the travel industry ever since, and visited many countries including South Africa, Tanzania, Botswana and Namibia.
Christine MacDougall
Travel Consultant
The African dust is firmly planted in Chris’s heart. Born in Tanzania she spent much of her childhood in and around Ruaha. Travel and safari was part of life and through into adulthood fun and travel has never left her.
