Kirurumu Manyara Lodge

This friendly, very comfortable permanent tented lodge is superbly located between Tarangire and Ngorongoro with Manyara in the middle, so is an ideal base for several days. It sits on top of the rift escarpment and has incredible views across the Great Rift Valley and Lake Manyara.

This permanent tented lodge is built on top of the rift escarpment on approximately 13 acres of private concession, and has jaw-dropping views across the Great Rift Valley. It has been designed to offer maximum privacy whilst not losing the intimate feel of a tented lodge.  The lodge is brilliantly located and offers you the opportunity to stay put and enjoy game drives in Lake Manyara, Tarangire and Ngorongoro – particularly useful if you are travelling as a family and don’t want to move around too much between lodges.

There is a large wooden deck with bar and stunning Lake Manyara view, and the thatched restaurant area offers a good choice of local and international cuisine complemented by fresh produce from the Lodge’s own organic garden. Care has been taken with the landscaping of the vegetation, leaving the surrounding area to remain as natural as possible, which in turn offers a haven for some of Tanzania’s best birdlife.
