Tanzania, Botswana & the Falls

Three incredible African highlights in one superb safari experience

Tanzania, Botswana & the Falls

14 days from £9,530 pp plus international flights.

This is a very special, upmarket experience, from the high standard of accommodation to the quality of game viewing. You’ll be in the heart of northern Serengeti at the best time for seeing the great migration, stay in the stunning Okavango Delta, visit Chobe when huge number of elephants congregate there, and see the awe-inspiring Victoria Falls.

From the moment you arrive at your beautiful boutique guest house after your international flight, you know this trip is something out of the ordinary.

You’re straight into the action the next morning, with a flight to north Serengeti for the first of 4 unforgettable days of game viewing in Serengeti. We have scheduled this trip from July-October*, to ensure you get the best possible views of the great migration. Your superb tented camp is very close to the river, where herds of millions of wildebeest and zebras – and pursuing predators – cross back and forwards.

Two days in Victoria Falls follow, staying in a lovely lodge within easy walking distance of the Falls, giving you a chance to experience this astonishing natural spectacle and Zimbabwean crafts, food and culture.

You then cross into Botswana for 3 nights in the heart of the Okavango Delta, in a gorgeous tented camp in a private concession with a great mix of land and water activities, so you can really get the most out of your time in this incredible location.

Finally, you fly to Chobe National Park, staying in the only permanent lodge in the park. It’s a fantastic place to stay and offers true eco-luxury. It is unique in having an all-female guide team. And you’ll be there when vast herds of elephants converge on Chobe from miles around – it’s an ele lover’s paradise!

*If you would prefer to take this trip at a different time of year this can be arranged. You would stay in a different Serengeti camp, to be in the best place for the migration when you travel, which would affect the price.

Great for the Serengeti Migration and for the Okavango flood season
In theory you can take a version of this trip at any time of the year. However, you’ll see that we’ve only priced this for July to October. The reason for this is that not only are these months peak season for the Serengeti Wildebeest Migration in the northern Serengeti (where you stand a chance of seeing river crossings), but it’s also peak season for wildlife viewing in Botswana’s Okavango Delta, due to the floods filling the Delta from about June to October.
In both places it is the dry season too, so that means that the wildlife will often be congregating near water sources and grasses will be short, so game-viewing is at its very best.
Victoria Falls is great at any time, though the flow changes with the seasons. From July to October the water flow is quite low.
